I want to invite everyone in RadioFreeTexas land to the 7th annual Geezerfest to be held at Oma’s Secret Garden On July 16, 17 and 18 in Gruene, Texas. This event has grown leaps and bounds since it was first started and for many of us, it has become a family reunion of sorts. Red Dvorak has put together an awesome lineup, and here it is:

Friday July 17:
1:30 – 2:30 Tommy Elskes
2:45 – 3:45 Charlie Casas, Dean Ferrell, Keith Harrelson
4:00 – 5:00 Martin Flanigan, Barry Hebert, Steve Judice
5:30 – 7:00 Rocky Lott Band
7:30 – 9:00 The Geezaderos
9:30 – 11:00 Chubby Knuckle Choir
Saturday July 18

2:45 – 3:45 Denny Herrin, Michael O’Neal, Jordan York
4:00 – 5:00 Andrea Marie Acoustic Trio
5:30 – 7:00 Lesti Huff Band
7:30 – 9:00 Mark Jungers Band
9:30 – 11:00 Luke Adair and The Big Bills
There is no admission and the artists play for tips only, so please bring a pocket full of dollar bills to support the efforts of these guys and gals.
Oma’s has a great menu of food and drinks as well as a “Geezerfest” T-shirt that will be for sale. They also provide an ice chest with water so that you can stay hydrated in what is usually some pretty warm temperatures.
I would encourage you to bring lawn chairs.
Ron Miller will have Merch Tent set up and you will be able to purchase CD’s and T-shirts of the artists throughout the weekend.
There will be a live auction on Saturday night to benefit “A Place for Grace Children Home” just prior to Luke Adair and The Big Bills performance. Items include Autographed Posters, A Fire Pit, A 2 night stay at Gruene Mansion Inn, A goodie bag with T-shirts and CD’s, an Autographed Instrument, Art work, and more. So bring your checkbook or a pocket full of $100’s and be ready to bid on some great stuff for a worthy cause.
If you have any questions, just check out the Geezerfest Group on Facebook and you can probably find your answers, or message me on Facebook.
Hope to see you there!
Adios for now,
Tim Lewelling [Thisoldporch]
